This is a book container that holds a book and a CD that was designed for Sonia Sanchez; Activist and poet. The container is made of wood, glass, and a mirror in the background. The idea was to produce a set of items that would celebrate Sonia Sanchez life as an activist and poet of the sixties. This package would be a unique item that would be sent to publishers as a promotional element with the objective to sell her book.
This is set of furniture pieces that I refurbished and restored. The furniture pieces lacked any kind ornaments or images. I decided to apply various color techniques that I learned for fine art prints into these surfaces. The process became unique, and I learned a lot on my own by experimenting with different chemicals and pigments.
